Music

The ambition for Music at Ryedene Primary and Nursery School is for every young person to experience music and to progress their skills and knowledge through the key stages. Each child is taught by a specialist music teacher for one hour per week.

At Ryedene, we offer a rich and varied musical framework that nurtures fundamental musical techniques alongside building musical knowledge; it offers a clear pathway towards mature musical understanding. 

We aim for music to enrich our learners' individual lives as well as a school’s wider community. They will be exposed to performances from visitors and experience music from different cultures. We aim for our learners to have the inclusive opportunity to come together and sing and perform in assemblies and experience music in more creative ways throughout the wider curriculum.
